OPENING INVITATION｜Ink After the Contemporary 衍变：后当代水墨

​We are delighted to invite you to the opening of Ink After the Contemporary, a group exhibition exploring the evolving language of contemporary ink.

​Ink, as one of the most enduring visual traditions rooted in Chinese art history, has never ceased to reinvent itself. This exhibition brings together six contemporary artists whose practices move beyond viewing ink as a fixed medium. Instead, ink is approached as an open visual and conceptual system—one that can be continuously reinterpreted through form, colour, material, and lived experience.

​Through figure-based narratives, material experimentation, and subtle shifts in structure and space, the works on view respond to the emotional states and realities of our present moment. The exhibition invites viewers to encounter ink not through historical knowledge alone, but through direct perception and sensibility—between seeing and feeling.

​水墨，作为中国艺术传统中最具生命力的视觉语言之一，从未停止与时代对话。本次展览聚焦六位当代艺术家的水墨实践，在当代水墨逐渐形成相对稳定表达的背景下，他们不再将水墨视为固定的媒介形式，而是作为一种可以不断被重组、被转译的视觉与观念系统。

​通过人物、日常经验、材料实验与空间结构的多重探索，作品回应当下个体的感受与现实经验，也让水墨在当代语境中呈现出更加开放、多元的可能性。我们希望邀请您，在“观看”与“感受”之间，重新走近水墨，感受它在当下的持续生长。
