Bridge-Building for Youth Sustainability Education: Launching a Local Community of Practice
Join us for a momentum-building evening to celebrate the launch of Metro Vancouver's community of practice for sustainability educators working in the K-12 space. Designed to connect, support, and amplify collective impact across the K–12 ecosystem.
This café gathering brings together formal and non-formal educators, NGO practitioners, and government staff passionate about sustainability, capacity-building for climate action, and systems-based approaches. Whether you’re teaching in classrooms, designing programs, or shaping policy, this event is an invitation to build meaningful relationships across sectors and explore what’s possible when we join forces.
Through a blend of guided conversations, interactive stations, and informal networking, you’ll:
Connect with others working at the intersection of youth and sustainability across Metro Vancouver
Share experiences, challenges, and emerging practices in climate and systems education
Explore opportunities for collaboration and cross-sector learning
Help shape the vision and priorities of this emerging community of practice
Expect a welcoming, generative atmosphere in a cozy and quirky café setting grounded in curiosity, relationship-building, and shared purpose.

This event is for you if you're:
Elementary and secondary teachers curious and/or committed to sustainability, climate change, and systems thinking
NGO staff leading or supporting child/youth environmental and sustainability programming
Government staff in education, environment, youth engagement, and related sectors interested in collaboration and systems-level impact
Working in education/sustainability-adjacent spaces and are curious to connect and forge cross-sector relationships
