Insights to Impact: Commercializing Dual Use Medical Technology
Insights to Impact is BioBuzz's highly curated event series in the BioHealth Capital Region exclusively for biopharma industry leaders and professionals. This is event #4 of 9.
Whether you’re seeking funding, navigating regulatory hurdles, pursuing clinical research, or aiming to expand your market presence, you won’t want to miss this special preview of HJF Innovation Labs @ Montgomery County, MD (HIL). Opening its doors in January 2026, HIL is a specialized incubator accelerating the development of life sciences and medical technology ventures addressing both military and civilian healthcare needs.
The Path to Commercializing Dual Use Medical Technology
Innovation at the intersection of defense and civilian healthcare is driving some of the most impactful advances in life sciences today. This event convenes entrepreneurs, investors, and ecosystem leaders for an inside look at the unique opportunities and challenges of bringing dual-use medical technologies to market. From funding strategies to regulatory navigation and market expansion, you’ll gain actionable insights from those building and backing the next generation of ventures.
To guide this vision, HJF has also established an Innovation Advisory Committee (IAC), with its inaugural meeting the following day, on September 30, 2025. Composed of thought leaders in biotechnology, commercialization, investment, and economic development, the IAC will advise HJF on the technical, business, and investment merits of early-stage innovations identified through the Innovation Ecosystem—a program that includes an on-site wet-lab incubator, startup training and services, and translational funding programs. Together, these efforts are designed to advance technologies with the potential to transition seamlessly into both military and private-sector applications.
Set against the backdrop of the soon-to-launch Innovation Labs, this gathering offers a rare opportunity to connect with peers shaping the future of medtech. Whether you’re preparing to launch, scale, or collaborate, the conversations here will help chart your path from idea to impact.
