Join us for a unique behind the scenes experience at Emergency Food Network (EFN), one of Pierce County's leading organizations fighting hunger while reducing food waste and strengthening our local food system.
The morning begins with an exclusive 30 minute guided tour of EFN's facilities, where you'll learn how rescued food, local partnerships, volunteers, and innovative distribution systems help provide millions of pounds of nutritious food to our community each year.
Following the tour, participants will roll up their sleeves and take part in a volunteer food repack event, helping prepare food that will be distributed to local food banks, meal programs, and families throughout Pierce County.
This event highlights how food sustainability extends far beyond agriculture. Reducing food waste, improving food access, supporting local communities, and engaging volunteers all play an important role in creating a more resilient and sustainable future.
Whether you're passionate about sustainability, community service, food systems, or simply looking to make a meaningful impact during PNW Climate Week, this is an opportunity to learn, connect, and give back.
