About Event

Join Health Tech PHL and the Health Design Lab for part 2 of our Health Access Conversation Series. This month we’re heading to South Philly to dive into the critical work of improving health equity for Philadelphia’s immigrant and refugee communities!

Navigating the U.S. healthcare system is notoriously complex at a baseline; for those facing language barriers or cultural displacement, those hurdles can become insurmountable. We will learn from the collaborative team behind at the Hansjörg Wyss Wellness Center, Jefferson Family and Community Medicine and SEAMAAC. Two groups who are at the forefront of providing full-spectrum primary care and social services while helping marginalized communities navigate these systemic complexities.

Speakers:

Thoai Nguyen, Chief Executive Officer, SEAMAAC

Christa Loffelman, Health and Social Services Director, SEAMAAC

Marc Altshuler, MD, Director, Jefferson Center for Refugee and Immigrant Health

5:30 PM: Doors Open
6:00 PM: Conversation Starts
7:30 PM: Event Wrap-up

Location
Hansjörg Wyss Wellness Center
1902 S 8th St, Philadelphia, PA 19148, USA
