​Ask an Angel: Figuring Out What’s Actually Worth Building

​What makes a problem worth solving, and worth building a business around?

​In this edition of Ask an Angel, we’ll be joined by Ashley Barrett, an experienced investor and ecosystem leader, for a practical conversation on how founders can distinguish between an interesting problem and a genuinely investable opportunity.

​The discussion will explore how to identify problems that are genuinely painful, validate whether customers will pay for a solution, assess the size and accessibility of a market, and determine whether an opportunity has the potential to become a viable, scalable business.

​Following the conversation, 2–3 founders will take part in our 60-Second Speed Pitch, presenting their startups directly to Ashley for immediate feedback and, where there is mutual interest, the opportunity to continue the conversation beyond the session.
