Run Time: San Francisco 5km Social Run 🎮🌁🦭

​Join us for a socially paced (no one gets left behind) Run Time: San Francisco 5K run to kick your conference off in style. This event is an official affiliate event of GDC/GDC Festival of Gaming

​Where: 1 Ferry Building, San Francisco, CA 94105, United States

​​When: Tuesday, March 10th at 7:00am.

​​'Run Time: San Francisco 5K' is a friendly jog around the San Francisco Boardwalk out to Pier 39 (🦭🦭🦭), where you can meet new industry folk and network with fellow runners. There's no agenda, no sales pitch, just a casual and inclusive run and a coffee afterwards.

​​All are welcome, whether you are a multi-marathoner or a casual jogger. Expect to get those neurons firing and to make some great new contacts—just don't expect to bag any PBs.

​​This is a purely social run, so we ask that everyone look after each other while running, avoid pedestrians, and take care when crossing roads. We may also take photos to be used on social media; if you would rather not be seen, that's fine; let us know.

While there is no pressure or 'sell' of any kind, but we are proud to support the games industry charity SpecialEffect on our runs. SpecialEffect enables disabled players from all over the world to play the games they love with hardware adaptations, new technology, and shared accessible software. If you want to drop them a few dollars, then that would be wonderful, but this is not at all mandatory.

​​To reiterate, joining the run is totally at your own risk. We're all about good vibes, socialising and kicking your show off in style. But we are mostly about keeping safe, so please run smart, keep your eyes open, watch the roads and go at a pace that won't wreck you. Keep hydrated, too, and watch out for your fellow runners.
