6H Game Jam - Chroma Awards
Have a game idea you want to bring to life? Join us for a 6h Game Jam in the heart of SF.
We kick things off in San Francisco on Wednesday evening with six hours of in-person building, food, and good company. The theme stays secret until kickoff, so come with an open mind and leave with a playable game.
Whether you’re a seasoned game dev, a designer, an artist, a sound person, or someone who has never shipped a game before, you’re welcome. Bring a laptop, bring friends, or find your team on the night.
Any engine, any tools, any genre. AI tools are fair game, and our sponsors’ platforms are a great way to move fast on voice, music, 3D assets, and in-browser prototyping. The only rule: the game has to be built during the jam and fit the theme.
Schedule:
4:00 PM: Doors open, check-in, and team formation
4:30 PM: Kickoff, sponsor intros, and the theme reveal
5:00 PM: Building starts
9:30 PM: Building stops
10:00 PM: Winners Announced
How it works
Build a game, solo or in a team of up to 4. The five highest-rated games advance to the judges, who select the top three.

Two Tracks: Party Games Track and Random Games Track
Party Games Track, Weekend:
We’re hosting the Party Games Track, looking for the next big living-room hit! Think multiplayer party games designed for the big screen, ideally for 2–6 players, where everyone joins by scanning a QR code on the TV and uses their phone as a controller.
We want games that make the room come alive! Think shouting, laughing, moving around, friendly competition, and unforgettable moments. The kind of gameplay that’s so entertaining people can’t resist pulling out their phones to share it on Instagram Stories, Snapchat, or TikTok.
The winning team will be invited to pitch their game to Weekend’s product and engineering teams and get feedback from the people behind our growing portfolio of TV games!
Random Games Track:
Anything goes. Platformers, puzzlers, roguelikes, narrative experiments, cozy sims, or something nobody has a genre name for yet. If it’s fun, surprising, and fits the theme, it belongs here.
