About Event

Join us for the sequel to last season's Lower Manhattan Brutalist Architecture tour.

Led by Liza Pagano, this tour dives into the Brutalist gems both known and overlooked of the Upper East Side. Over the course of a 2 mile walk, we’ll explore six buildings, examining the architects’ visions, their original purposes, and how they function today. Through discussion and interior imagery, we’ll gain a deeper appreciation for their place in the city’s architectural landscape.

We’ll start on East 63rd Street and end near East 80th Street. The exact location will be shared upon approval. This walking tour is at street level, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring along a bottle of water!

Note: if you're able, paying the recommended amount helps sustain aci-d club and makes future events possible—we’d really appreciate your support!

Liza Pagano is a lifelong New Yorker and a curious Creative Director with a love for all things design. She has a fondness for wabi-sabi philosophy, brutalist architecture, and a well-worn river stone. In her spare time, you’ll find her riding her bike all over NYC, always in search of that one special block she’s never seen before—and she always finds it.
