Project Overview
The Clean Daura Initiative is a community-led sanitation and environmental cleanup project focused on Shaiskawa, Daura, aimed at addressing poor sanitation, indiscriminate waste disposal, and environmental pollution.
The project will mobilize 100 community members, including residents, youth, community volunteers, and Logos Circle members, to participate in environmental cleanup activities and community sensitization on proper waste disposal, hygiene, and environmental responsibility.
Problem Statement
Poor waste disposal and inadequate environmental sanitation in parts of Shaiskawa contribute to an unhealthy and unpleasant environment. Improper disposal of refuse can also obstruct drainage pathways and increase environmental and public-health risks. Community participation and awareness are therefore essential to achieving sustainable improvements in sanitation.
Winnable Goal
To improve sanitation and environmental cleanliness in Shaiskawa by mobilizing 100 community members to participate in cleanup activities, promote proper waste disposal, and take ownership of maintaining a cleaner environment.
Key Objectives
Mobilize 100 community members to participate in the initiative.
Identify and clean major sanitation and waste-disposal hotspots in Shaiskawa.
Conduct community sensitization on proper waste disposal and environmental hygiene.
