March pick: So Many Stars: An Oral History of Trans, Nonbinary, Genderqueer, and Two-Spirit People of Color by Caro de Robertis
Your (optional chip-in) ticket cost supports The Nonbinarian Bookstore in providing free community resources 🖤
Trans people are in the midst of hard time. That’s nothing new. To find ways to survive &, despite everything, thrive in the new/old regime, we turn to our elders, who have been through it all before.
Hosted monthly by Nonbinarians Philomena (she/her) & Alexander (he/him), meeting on the last Monday of the month on-site in-store at The Nonbinarian Bookstore & virtually on Zoom. Each month we will collectively suggest & choose our next book together.
This month, we'll be reading So Many Stars (available for purchase in print for direct-to-home shipping from Bookshop.org, as an e-book, or available to download as an audiobook through Libro.fm). Attendees (both virtually & in person) will receive $5 off their next book club pick purchase in-store at The Nonbinarian Bookstore.
To attend virtually: Zoom link here!
Note: This book club centers the trans gaze & is open only to trans, non-binary, & gender-nonconforming attendees.
COVID safety practices for all in-store events: Our standing store policy is masks required. As this is a small space, before gathering with others we ask that folks please take a rapid COVID test within 24 hours to reduce risk of exposure. We have extra masks, tests, & sanitizer on hand, & we have air purifiers in store.
