SciArt Synapse Gathering September 2025

Enjoy meeting artists, scientists, technologists, and cross-disciplinary practitioners —around the world, from wherever you are. Learn more about us here!

Typically, we gather and network in ice-breaker rooms before transitioning to (1) deeper discussions suggested by participants or (2) an interactive activity.

This will be an activity-based event. We are excited to have Emily Garfield lead a workshop about maps. Using her lens situated in cities, biological networks and rules-based drawings, Emily will guide our thinking and creating by tapping into different ideas of what a map could be.

Come meet and share ideas with practitioners across a diversity of disciplines—virtually!

Note: The join link will be added to the event page by the day of the event.

--------------------Code of Conduct---------------------------
The event structure is important to facilitate communication and we ask that participants respect it. Earnest conversation and openness to dialogue is the expectation at this event. Please come with curiosity and an open mind—we can promise you'll learn something new!

Participants may be asked to turn on their cameras, and disruptive participants have and will be booted.
