Zerowaste-Aktionswochen @ Atelier Gardens: Atelier Gardens Circularity Tour and Systemic Design Workshop
An introductory tour of Atelier Gardens - where we create a living system that regenerates rather than depletes. Rain water is harvested for toilets and herb garden, kitchen waste is transformed to terra preta that nourishes our garden. We nourish the social soil by cultivating a community of change-makers — a living social organism embracing holistic ways of being and doing.
In this simple, hands-on workshop, no prior knowledge is needed, just bring your curiosity.
We’ll start with a tour of Atelier Gardens, exploring how food scraps become Terra Preta compost, the plan to recover nutrients from toilets, rainwater reuse systems, community garden activities, and the gentle care given to pigeons, insects and other small animals.
After the tour, we’ll map the resources on site together. By connecting the dots, you’ll discover the “in-between” spaces, relationships, and flows. A first-hand experience of how one action affects the whole.
Through this, you’ll experience the core principle of systemic design:
“The material and energy output (waste) becomes the input for a new system (resource).”
Feel the ecosystem around you, and imagine new ZeroWaste systems. A small insight can ripple through the whole system.
