Using the Earth as a Role Model for Building Personal Resilience
This webinar will provide practitioners with a values-centered approach to intrapersonal exploration within their professional and personal development. The presence of identity-conscious and resilient educators in school communities uplifts the work of DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging) initiatives and advancements. These educators can more easily stand at the forefront of advocating for young people in ways that center their voices and experiences because these adults have a greater capacity for awareness, empathy, and compassion toward others and themselves. This kind of learning better positions us to achieve our ultimate goal: to manifest meaningful, sustainable change in diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging across our school communities. The webinar will help to answer these questions:
How can deepening your personal relationship with the earth fortify your resilience, as you continue your journey as an agent of change in your school community?
What can nature teach/help us to more fully understand diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging?
