The Prologue
The Prologue A free 75-minute idea session inside The Good Gather
You have a story. You might not know what it is yet. That's exactly why we're here.
The Prologue is a free gathering for anyone who has ever thought "I should write that down someday" and then didn't. We're not here to write. We're here to find out what's already living in you that wants to become something.
In 75 minutes together, we'll move through a handful of prompts designed to pull the story out of wherever you've been keeping it -the thing that keeps coming back, the moment you've never quite put into words, the piece that belongs to you and has been waiting. You'll say it out loud, we'll hold it, and by the time you leave you'll know what you'd write if you wrote it.
This is the beginning.
The Good Gather publishes six community anthologies a year -fiction and nonfiction, written by real people inside a writer's circle that meets twice a month, supported by a professional editor, and launched to a community of readers who actually want the book. No gatekeeping, no pay-to-play, no waiting to be chosen. Just people writing the thing they've been carrying around, finally finishing it, and seeing it in print.
The Prologue is the door in.
Come find out what your piece is.
Free. 75 minutes. Bring nothing but yourself.
