About Event

Do you know how extreme heat can be? Join our extreme heat simulator where you will participate in a live demonstration showing how extreme heat affects different communities!

This demo will include a heat simulation using ice and varying levels of protection for the ice to show how adequate access to cooling systems is imperative to the health and livelihoods of those throughout the nation, and especially low-income consumers.

This will be followed up by a short discussion about the importance of access to cooling, and how low-income folks face an extra burden when temperatures rise.

This event is organized by the National Energy Assistance Directors Association: https://neada.org
