About Event

This workshop starts from a simple but challenging premise: the climate crisis is not only an external problem of emissions and technologies, but a reflection of the systems, worldviews, and inner capacities that shape how we live, govern, and make decisions. Lasting change requires transforming both outer systems—energy, food, finance, governance—and the inner systems of beliefs, values, power, care, and responsibility that sustain them.

To drive genuine systems transformation, we must move beyond traditional cooperation and develop a more profound collaborative power. This workshop is designed as a space to explore that power, challenging the assumptions and narratives that often constrain our responses to deep uncertainty.

The Experience

At the heart of this workshop is The Collaboration Game (TCG), a high-impact simulation using the 2030 SDGs Game that serves as a catalyst for collective sense-making. By navigating a simulated world, participants will experience the 'inner shifts' through which collaborative breakthroughs emerge. This process links inter-personal breakthroughs to the Global Goals (SDGs) and the Inner Development Goals (IDG) framework, providing a shared language for the human side of organisational and societal change.

Shared Inquiry

Through provocative conversations and lived experience, we will ask critical questions, including:

  • What are the limits of technological solutions when underlying economic and governance systems remain unchanged?

  • How do dominant narratives of growth, efficiency, and control constrain our climate responses?

  • What inner capacities—courage, grief literacy, humility, imagination—are needed to lead during deep transition?

  • What does it truly mean to move from extraction to regeneration, and from competition to genuine collaboration?

  • How do we build the political, cultural, and emotional conditions that enable rapid and fair climate transitions?

Who Should Attend?

We invite policymakers, practitioners, innovators, community leaders, and artists to explore how inner development and collective agency can support bold, just, and regenerative climate action. This is a space to surface tensions, strengthen your capacities, and act with clarity and courage in this pivotal moment.

Agenda

  • Introduction: Framing the connection between inner agency and systems change.

  • Engaging in a Simulation: A live ‘in-person’ experience of The Collaboration Game.

  • Reflecting and Actions: Guided inquiry to translate insights into strategic climate action.
