WHAT HAPPENED IN AI THIS YEAR AND WHAT DO WE EXPECT OF 2027.

2026 has been a year like no other. The advancement and evolution of AI has been present for a while but this year we have really seen that accelerate at an almost incomprehensible rate.

AI has evolved from AI assistants that answer questions into systems that can actually carry out work.

At the start of the year, most people were still using AI primarily to research, write, analyse information and generate code. By October 2026, both OpenAI and Anthropic have developed increasingly capable AI agents that can navigate software, work across different applications, create documents, build products and complete multi-step tasks with significantly less human involvement.

This move to full agentic systems/products and entire workflows is what we would like to discuss with our expert panel. How have they seen this change in 2026 and what have they changed within their own businesses. Then with a hope to peer into their view of where 2027 will evolve.

Our expert panel will include:

Kit Cox - founder and CTO of Enate

James Hadley - founder and Chief Innovation Officer at Immersive

Dave Palmer - co founder of Darktrace and now Investment Partner at TenEleven Ventures

Greg Evans - moderator and Director of GT Search

As with all good tech speaking events there will be the obligatory pizza and drinks sponsored by GT Search and P2 Growth
