Immerse yourself in the power of lunar energies with an evening of guided meditation, sound healing, and gentle movement.
While many honor the new and full moon, the First Quarter Moon was deeply revered in ancient cultures. Seven days after the new moon, the First Quarter Moon arrives, half in darkness, half in light.
On the new moon, many make plans and plant seeds and dreams. Seven days after, the First Quarter Moon represents the first stages of growth and the shadows that underlie our obstacles.
During our ceremony together, we’ll take time to reflect on the first quarter of the year, the seeds planted, and the strength needed to persevere. And call in the power of the First Quarter Moon to push past inertia and continue to grow into fullness and illumination.
For our shamanic journey, we'll drop into a meditative state between sleep and wakefulness. And as we acclimate to receiving care from across time and space, we will progress into gentle postural awareness and movement. The sonics of our journey will be peaceful, percussive, and soulful with vocal layering, nature sounds, singing bowls, and Indigenous North American and West African drumming.

Sakina is a shamanic practitioner, sound healer, and strategist. Over the past 15 years, she has worked to bridge Indigenous energy medicine, ancient philosophy, and modern science to restore balance in people and systems. She has designed holistic strategies for academia, individuals, mission-driven organizations, the public sector, and Fortune 500 companies, guiding communities to restore balance and joy at every scale of change.
Now, through her project Recovering Earth, she facilitates a movement of embodied leadership and regenerative wellbeing with health protocols, energy, and sound healing that allow us to feel the healed world we can build together.
