

Build an app in a day
If you have an idea for a software tool, a dashboard, or a product prototype but do not know how to code, this workshop is for you.
We are running a hands-on building day at Runway East in Aldgate East. Over the course of Saturday, you will learn how to use Claude and Codex to turn a software concept into a live web app hosted on a public URL.
The Saturday Schedule
14:00 to 14:30
Welcome and Setup
Arrival, coffee, and getting connected to the workspace.
14:30 to 15:30 PM: Building the Concept and Interface
Scoping out your app idea and using Claude (or Codex) to build the visual layout.15:30 to 16:30: Tea Break
A break to chat and network.16:30 to 17:30: Logic and Going Live
Adding functionality to your app, fixing bugs with Claude (or Codex), and publishing your project online.17:30 to 18:00: Project Sharing
An informal session to look at the completed prototypes and wrap up the day.
What is Included
A Live Web App: A working prototype hosted online that you can share with others.
Collaborative Learning: The chance to work alongside other London-based founders, creators, and professionals, allowing you to share ideas, troubleshoot together, and build your local tech network.
Instructor-Guided Support: Live, step-by-step guidance throughout the day to walk you through the prompt workflows, setup phases, and deployment steps.
What You Need to Bring
Laptop and Charger: Power strips and Wi-Fi are fully provided.
An App Idea: A simple concept to build, such as a basic calculator, a habit tracker, or a data form.
A Claude (or Codex) Account: An active Anthropic account. We recommend upgrading to Claude Max for the day to avoid running into hourly usage limits. If you do not already have a Claude account, you will receive a free gift code for a Claude Pro account.
The workshop is limited to 12 desks so that the hosts can provide direct, one-on-one help with troubleshooting throughout the day.
