About Event

One morning online, one afternoon with working robots in London. From AI strategy to the physical frontier — for the Board, C Suite and Senior execs.

Boards are being asked to approve AI investment on the basis of conversations pitched too high to decide anything.

This programme is built around what a board or an executive committee would actually have to decide: which of your processes matter enough to redesign, what governance has to exist before a pilot rather than after an incident, and whether the thing in front of you is a tool, a task, a worker or a new business model.

And then, in the afternoon of 2 December, you stand in front of working robotics and ask about AI and embedded AI in Robots.

Who it is for

Board members, non-executive directors and C-suite executives. You do not need a technical background and you will not be asked to write code. You do need to be someone who will have to sign off, defend or govern an AI decision.

Eight to twelve people from different organisations and sectors. Small enough to be engaging and tailored discussions and questions.

The format

  • Wednesday 25 November, 08:00–12:00, online. Two working sessions with a break. Where you actually are on the four levels of AI adoption, and which three to five processes your business model actually rests on.

  • One week in between. Run the process exercise in your own organisation and bring one process you could imagine putting a AI into.

  • Wednesday 2 December, 14:00–18:00, in person at a Robotics Centre, London. AI and Business Process session, then an hour on the floor with working robots, then building your own plan and having the room pull it apart. Drinks at 18:00.

  • A follow up online session. What you said you would do, what actually happened, and what got in the way.

What you leave with

  • A stated position on where your organisation really sits e.g. tools, tasks, AI workers, or new business models.

  • Your process list, sorted into redesign candidates and efficiency candidates.

  • A set of AI questions to take to your own board, and a minimum viable governance position you can defend.

  • A first-pass business case and a go, iterate or stop decision for one use case.

  • A plan that peers have already shared ideas on and a call in January to see whether you did it.

Why the robotics afternoon

Language models are becoming embodied. The question of what an "AI worker" is stops being an abstraction the moment you watch one operate and have to answer who supervises it, what happens at the edge of its task boundary, and whether it is displacing a labour line or a capital line. That last one is the board question, and the accounting treatment is not the same.

Very few programmes at this level put directors in front of working machines. Within two years we think they all will.

Your Investment Price

£1,150 + VAT — early booking, until 4 November

£1,450 + VAT — standard

£2,200 + VAT — two people from the same organisation (£1,100 each)

We recommend the pair rate. The organisations that change anything after a programme like this are the ones where two people came back speaking the same language.

Includes both sessions, the January follow-up call, all worksheets and instruments, refreshments and drinks. Comparable board programmes run from £5,000 and ask for three to four days away from your desk.

Who is running it

Andrew Gaule and Denis Bidinost. Alongside the AI Sprint, senior executive programmes and corporate AI and innovation programmes run inside client organisations for more than two decades.

From participants on our AI programmes

Chris, Leader of Angel Investment Group

“This course has really shown the benefit of a process driven methodology that tests and questions responses and then refines prompts to gain the most efficient outcomes.”

Zah, Executive and Board Member

“I didn’t realise that I could generate test data, which has been very useful. It was brilliant.”

St.John, Senior Exec

“Some of the capabilities that they’ve revealed in AI I didn’t know about at all. That really shows the value of working in small teams and working together and seeing how other people are using their own AI tools.”

Patricia, Senior FTSE Board Member

“The AI Sprint gave me the opportunity to get a little closer to how the technology actually works, experiment with it within a small group of highly engaged professionals which enriched the discussion and deepen my understanding beyond the typical board governance questions.”
