Motherless Mother's Day: A Creative Grief Workshop
You know what sucks after you’ve lost your mother?
Mother’s Day.
Not just because you’re grieving, but because there’s an expectation to feel a certain way.
Sad and griefy or happy and holding it together. Either way, it can feel like you’re performing something that doesn’t quite fit.
This workshop is an opportunity to rewrite Mother’s Day on your own terms.
Motherless Mother’s Day is a virtual creative grief workshop for anyone who identifies as motherless in any way.
That might mean:
You’ve lost your mom or a maternal figure
You’re a mom grieving someone important
You’re carrying a version of motherhood that didn’t happen the way you hoped
Whatever motherless means to you, there’s space for you here.
What we’ll do:
Understand the power of storytelling and why putting words to your experience can help you process grief
Create a blank, pocket-sized book you can take with you
Fill your book with whatever motherless story feels right for you
Optional time to share, if that feels good to you
All you need to bring is a blank piece of printer paper, a pair of scissors, & some markers/pens
