The global push toward a low-carbon, digital economy requires an unprecedented supply of critical minerals—yet conventional extraction places heavy strain on ecosystems, water, and communities.
Hosted by the Global Alliance for a Sustainable Planet in partnership with Attero and Squire Patton Boggs, this session convenes leaders across government, mining, tech, finance, and civil society to explore how innovation and fair competition can shape the next generation of critical-mineral supply chains.
The discussion will focus on how to build resilient, nature-positive critical-mineral supply chains by integrating primary extraction with urban mining, recycling, and resource recovery from e-waste and industrial tailings. Leaders across sectors will discuss deploying low-impact extraction technologies, establishing market standards that reward high environmental performance over lowest-cost production, and advancing restoration frameworks that generate measurable ecological gains across global markets.
