“From POC to production: my experience standing up a data platform”

The proof of concept was one Dremio process on one VM. It demoed great, and one person could break it. Getting it to 99.9% uptime under a customer-facing product took a couple of years, and almost none of that went into the query engine. Jordan walks through what did: one Helm chart for every environment, reflections and isolated engines that cut queries from minutes to seconds, and an outage where every dashboard stayed green.

4:20–5:00 PM — Hang out (the cafe is open until 6)

Where: the open seating area in the back of Inklings Coffee & Tea, 530 Main St, downtown Pleasanton. Ask at the counter!
Parking: Park in the Inklings Coffee & Tea lot (driveway off Main St, just north of the building). Full? Try the public lot off W Neal St (enter from W Neal St or W Angela St, 4 min walk) or the public lot off Peters Ave (4 min walk).
