Kelp Wanted: A Seaweed Tasting for Climate Week
Eat the ocean. Taste the future. Join Our Collective Foods in partnership with California Sea Grant and The Sea House, for an afternoon dedicated to seaweed — one of the most underrated ingredients, and one of the ocean's best climate solutions.
Come learn about seaweed aquaculture, and taste some delicious things made with kelp and seaweed!
Held at: The Sea House, home of the nonprofit Seatrees, in Encinitas
What to expect:
The Sea House Kelp short film screening
Talk + tabling with Simona Augyte from California Sea Grant on seaweed aquaculture
Taste top kelp products by Barnacle Foods, from kelp pickles and kelp chili crisp to hot sauces and even kelp chocolate!
Sample an original seaweed dish by Our Collective Foods
Beer from Modern Times Beer, plus refreshments by Our Collective Foods
