Reading Group & Discussion: Will AI Destroy Our Institutions?

​In How AI Destroys Institutions, the authors argue that AI erodes expertise, short-circuits decision-making, and isolates people, making it a "death sentence" for the rule of law, universities, journalism, and democracy. Andrew Perlman responds: destroys them relative to what? He argues that they measure AI against idealised institutions, not the flawed ones we actually have.

We'll read the introduction, parts I and II, III.D and the conclusion.
