​Create a cozy, connected atmosphere with us. Lez Get Lit is a warm, low pressure gathering centered around sapphic stories, shared presence, and the simple pleasure of reading together. This event invites members of the sapphic community to slow down, settle in, and enjoy both quiet companionship and gentle social connection through literature.

​what happens at Lez Get Lit?

​From 2 to 6 pm, the space flows naturally between social time and quiet reading. We begin with a relaxed hangout, giving everyone time to arrive, get comfortable, chat, and ease into the space. From 3 to 4 pm, we transition into a silent group reading hour, an intentional pocket of calm where everyone reads their own book side by side, without conversation or distraction. After the silent reading hour, the space opens back up for socializing and building connections at your own pace.

​why should I attend?

​Lez Get Lit is designed for people who crave community without pressure and togetherness without performance. Reading alongside others can foster a sense of belonging, while the shared sapphic context creates an affirming and cozy environment. You may leave feeling more relaxed, connected, inspired, and gently nourished by both literature and community.

​what is the vibe?

​This is a social reading experience, not a class or lecture and there are no expectations to discuss what you are reading. The atmosphere is low stimulation, welcoming, and cozy. Come as you are, bring a book you love or one from your TBR, and enjoy an afternoon of sapphic literature, quiet presence, and soft connection.

​tickets

​Tickets are offered on a sliding scale, with a minimum price. The price listed on the event page is the suggested price. To change the ticket amount, go to checkout and click the edit button by the ticket price and enter your desired amount.

​volunteering

​To volunteer, you must have attended at least 2 fwb events and agree to arrive one hour early to help with set-up and stay after to help with clean-up (~30 minutes).

​ABOUT FWB

​​​fwb is a members-only, queer-femme founded social club for open-minded people to learn, explore, and play. We host a range of programming, including socials, workshops, and parties.

​​

​​​​ACCESSIBILITY

​​​​The building is ADA accessible.

​​​​​​There is an elevator. Note for people with wheelchairs, canes, other walking assistance devices: the tile of the lobby floor is uneven so be careful navigating, and the bathroom is not ADA compliant.

​​​​​​​​​This is a low-scent event: no perfume, cologne, or essential oils.

​​​​​​​​​If you have a latex allergy, please let us know ahead of time so we can ensure to remove any latex products in the play space and ask our participants to leave their latex products at home.

​​​COMMUNITY HEALTH & SAFETY

​​​Covid, cold, and flu:​​​​​​

​​​We require all attendees to test for COVID before you arrive. No need to send results - we trust you. If you are feeling sick, were recently exposed to someone who is sick, or test positive, we ask that you stay home to help us keep our community safe and healthy. We will credit you for a future event.

​​​We provide face masks and hand sanitizer at the clubhouse. We run air purifiers during and between events.

​​​While we take all the precautions we can to be covid safe, this is ultimately an intimate event with risk of infection. If you are at higher risk of infection or adverse effects for covid or other illnesses, we encourage you to err on the side of caution.​

​​​REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY

​​​We do not offer refunds. If you need to cancel or change your reservation, please let us know 48 hours prior to an event, and we will credit you for a future event.

​​​If you are sick, were recently exposed to someone who has covid, or tested positive, and let us know ~2 hours prior to an event start, we will credit you for a future event.

​​​We offer refunds if we cancel an event for any reason. We'll send out a cancellation email. Attendees who wish to receive a refund for their ticket purchase will need to respond within 7 days of the cancelled event. All other tickets will receive a credit for a future event.

​​​Because we keep our events intentionally small and curate our guest list for a healthy balance of genders, sexualities, and interests, repeat no calls/no shows by friends with an active fwb membership may have their membership revoked.
