Physical AI for Science Hack @ Studio 45 with Claude Community
This hack, we're headed back to Studio 45 for a hardware focused hack and build weekend in partnership with Claude Community and other partners.
We're also hosting a warm up build day Oct 17 if you want to join early to make a team and get started on a project.
No pre-reqs. All scientists, software, and hardware engineers welcome.
We welcome all skill levels and can support 50 builders.
Teams will be formed on the spot, and will work through custom automation challenges with sample prep, instrument integration, as well as an open track
⭐️ You must be able to stay through demo on Sunday to participate in the hack. Everyone joining will be expected to demo something by end of the weekend.
Track A: Sample Prep with BioKEA
BioKEA does DNA barcoding, environmental DNA, and long-read genomics from soil, water, or specimen to a verifiable, FAIR-compliant published claim.
They work with open sourced hardware and need help making the sample prep process more robust with a robotic sieving process.
There will also be chances to iterate on other parts of the workcell.
Track B: TBA
We're working with a few different instrument partners and will announce more soon.
Track C: Open build
We'll have extra robotic arms, cameras, and 3d printers for you to build on dexterity challenges or your own problem space.
You can also bring your own hardware.
