ACM India Academic Day for Practitioners: Applied AI
Most industry days bring practitioners onto campuses. This one flips the format!
ACM India and InMobi are bringing leading academicians into an industry setting, so that the people building AI systems in production can hear directly from the people researching them, and the two can find common ground for collaboration.
This is the first event in a new ACM India series focused on the practitioner community. Expect talks from both academia and industry, followed by curated networking designed to spark conversations, joint projects, and longer-term industry–academia engagements.
Themes
The focus is applied AI, with topics including (not limited to):
Evaluating AI systems (evals)
LLM agents in production
Hybrid AI
Computer vision
Who should attend
Engineers, data scientists, ML practitioners, and technical leaders working on applied AI, as well as academic researchers interested in real-world problems and industry collaboration.
Note that ACM India membership is not required.
