Foto Walk 2026 - Manchester, UK
A photo walk, hosted by your local Foto community host. We meet, we walk, we make photos together, no likes or followers involved.
What to expect
You'll spend two hours or exploring a corner of the great city of Manchester with other photographers from the Foto community. Along the way, you'll make photos, take portraits of each other, and talk to people who notice the same light you do.
This year's theme is contrast. Light against shadow, old against new, whatever catches your eye and won't let it go. This is ideal for Manchester with its backdrop of industrial revolution heritage jarring against a modern skyline of skyscrapers
We will meet at the pebble in front of Bridgewater Hall and head towards the Castlefield Heritage Area. From there explore the new area around the Factory International development moving to Spinningfields, across Deansgate and ending in St Peter's Square with it iconic library. The route is not arduous - some steps and some uneven ground in places - being Manchester, it might rain.
Happy to find a location after for a drink, chat and image share.
As the Foto photowalk host I am not a workshop leader, I just love my photography, Manchester and the thought of bringing like-minded stranger together to share their passion in great surroundings. No experience needed. Bring any camera you own, phone included.
