Ingrid af Sandeberg and Melina Diamantoglou welcome you and introduce the night's program. AI Salon was founded in San Francisco in 2024 and is now active in 70+ cities globally. Stockholm is one of its strongest chapters, built around genuine developer-to-developer exchange: real questions, real challenges, no pitch theatre.
From robotics and materials science to energy tech and biotech, deeptech is where AI stops being a chat window and starts becoming a physical product, and the companies building it are placing some of the hardest, most important bets out there. This evening brings together the city's most engaged AI community to explore what it actually takes to build and scale deeptech in Sweden: what's working, where the real implementation challenges are, and who is building the most interesting things right now.

Karin Ruiz, CEO of Sting
Karin brings 15+ years of impact entrepreneurship and sustainability expertise to Sting, Sweden's leading startup accelerator. She's coached more than 50 impact, climate, and deeptech startups, and has founded and led ventures herself, including as CEO of Peepoople (cleantech) and Partner at Quizrr (edtech). Her 20+ years of international business experience spans senior roles at Tetra Pak and Capio and government agencies, with hands-on work across Asia, Africa, Europe, South America, and Australia. As CEO, Karin will share what it actually takes to build and scale deeptech in Sweden right now, from lab to market, and the hard parts in between.

What is a demo? A demo at AI Salon is low pressure. There is nothing at stake, it's not shark tank or demo day. It is your chance to introduce yourself to the community, share an AI-related business or project you are working on and get feedback. You do not need a pitch deck. A demo can be anything from a discussion topic, to a slide deck with a business idea, a product or prototype demonstration. Bring your own laptop.
What can you bring? You can bring a physical product, as long as it fits in a regular elevator, and/or a laptop, screen, banner, handouts, gadgets etc. In case you need anything specific, let us know in advance.
About the venue Sting (Stockholm Innovation & Growth) is Sweden's leading startup accelerator, backing bold founders since 2002. Sting focuses on four priority areas: Climate & Energy, Health & Life Science, Digital Society & AI, and DeepTech, and has supported over 400 startups tackling some of the world's biggest challenges. Tonight's session takes place at Sting's home in A House, right in the middle of Östermalm, a fitting backdrop for an evening dedicated to deeptech.
