Strategy Mastermind | For Founders & Investors
A curated and intimate evening for founders to step into a room designed for clarity, perspective, and unfiltered conversation.
"The problem is never the problem. The problem is that you don't even know how to think about the problem." — Dan Sullivan
London is full of brilliant founders, building in isolation. Planning, replanning, and second-guessing before finally acting. And yet the most valuable breakthroughs rarely come from personal research, another YouTube video, or strategy podcast. They come from the right room, at the right moment, with people who have already navigated what you are facing now.
This evening brings together a select group of founders, investors, and experts from the London startup ecosystem for honest, practical conversations about the real challenges of building a company.
About the Hosts: Sponsoring Host — Ashurst Perkins Coie (APC), a top 20 global law firm with the largest international footprint for growth capital, welcomes you to one of London’s highest viewpoints: its Bishopsgate office with skyline sweeping views. Co-hosted by Lumina House, a global residency for female founders.
Fireside chat: Liz Quach, former GC of a unicorn, will interview Jon Bloom, the author of Blindspots—a book that enables founders to spot risks before they strike and strategise around them. Jon brings decades of experience as a former finance lawyer, biglaw partner, and founder, before leveraging it all to enable the growth capital ecosystem at APC.
Mastermind sessions: Founders will be seated in curated rooms, matched based on the relevance and diversity of their experience. They will present their biggest challenge, with focused discussion, feedback, and strategic problem-solving from the group to follow. Our experts and VCs will rotate across the rooms, contributing to each challenge as each unfolds.
Jon and Liz will be joined by Craig Fagan of APC to contribute to session rotations. Craig and Liz bring a perspective few city lawyers can offer: both have served as General Counsel inside startups and scaleups, advising leadership teams on decisions that shaped those companies from within.
