​The annual June 16 Commemoration serves as a catalyst for boosting the tourism sector in Soweto by showcasing the township’s rich heritage, vibrant arts scene, and dynamic culture. The Youth Day Commemoration is designed to attract both local and international visitors while delivering lasting economic and social benefits for the Soweto community.

​By partnering with local tour operators to offer curated cultural experiences and safe and efficient transport between venues, we aim to create compelling tourism packages that include access to film screenings, dialogues, exhibitions, and guided tours. In collaboration with hotels, guesthouses, and lodges, we’ll provide special accommodation offers, while promoting local guides, artists, entrepreneurs, restaurants and food vendors to gain foot traffic and income - contributing to sustainable tourism growth and inclusive community development.
