About Event

Poised Between Forms brings together works made between 2025 and 2026, deliberately distant in language, technique and image construction, yet connected by the search for the same painterly gesture: soft, curved, recurring. MANI explores and transforms this movement through different materials and pictorial settings, so that it takes on new forms and meanings each time. In the exhibition, it is this very repetition that becomes the thread linking seemingly distant works. The gesture, together with painting, becomes the protagonist of the show.
Colours, forms and marks enter into a relationship of attraction and resistance. The viewer stands at the centre of a pictorial language that at first glance does not seem unified, but gradually reveals a common origin: the repetition of a specific gesture, expressed differently each time. Brought together in the same space, the works respond to and change one another, inevitably transforming the way each one is seen.

MANI, the artist name of Lorena Tiberi (Rome, 1997), is a visual artist whose work spans painting, sculpture and performance, centred on the relationship between body, gesture and material.
Exhibiting since 2015, she has shown her work in Italy and abroad, across Rome, Berlin, Florence, Mexico City, Milan and Porto Ercole, at venues including Soho House Rome, ADI Design Museum, Forte Stella, Polveriera Guzman and SUarte Gallery. In 2024 she took part in Roma Arte in Nuvola, represented by Maison Bosi Gallery.
Over the years her work has drawn the attention of Vogue Italia, Inside Art Magazine and Musei di Roma, and Rai Documentari has featured it in a documentary dedicated to her practice. In 2026 Inside Art also took an in-depth look at her most recent work and the central role gesture plays in her artistic process.
Residencies at Studio Casoli in Filicudi and Luisa Catucci Gallery in Berlin have shaped the evolution of a constantly changing practice, in which gesture becomes material, trace and memory of the action.
