AI Made Us Faster. Did It Make Us Safer? Cybersecurity Panel
AI made building faster. Did it make us safer?
Code ships quicker, agents get access to more of our tools, and the same AI that helps us build is also helping attackers move faster. Security stopped being a specialist topic. It is now part of the daily work of anyone shipping software.
So we're bringing that conversation to the Hub, with people who deal with it every day.
For this panel, we'll welcome Gustavo Dutra (Polygon Labs), Cintia Prates (Safeguard and Arynix) and Larissa Rosa (UFSC) for an open conversation on how security is changing with AI and what it means for people building today. The conversation will be guided by Mark Kop (Halborn).
🎙️ On stage
Gustavo Dutra
Security Engineer at Polygon Labs, building agentic security tooling: AI code review in CI, autonomous bounty triage, and supply-chain auditing. His background spans C++ software engineering, web2 security, and red teaming.
Cintia Prates
Security Analyst and blue teamer at Safeguard, and AI cybersecurity consultant at Arynix, testing and monitoring AI infrastructure.
Larissa Rosa
Technical Product Manager, consultant, and Computer Security Ph.D. candidate at UFSC. She works on the gap between security and usability through formal proofs, with past experience in federal PKI projects and post-quantum cryptography.
Mark Kop (host)
Software Engineer at Halborn. He has been applying AI to software engineering and sharpening his AI skills daily since GPT-3.5, and is hooked on building useful and useless side projects for everything that comes to mind.
🔴🔵 Red team, blue team
Security has always been played on two sides. The red team thinks like an attacker: probing, breaking things, finding the gap before someone else does. The blue team defends: monitoring, detecting, responding when something goes wrong. AI is now speeding up both.
The panel looks at that line from both sides: how AI is changing the work of red and blue teams, where it helps defenders, and where it opens new doors for attackers. We close with practical tips you can take back to your own projects and day-to-day setup.
This is not a vendor pitch, a fear-driven talk, or a hands-on hacking workshop. It is a space to understand where security stands now, ask real questions, and leave with a few things you can actually apply.
❓ Questions we'll explore
The human question. As AI becomes capable of detecting threats, investigating incidents, and even responding autonomously, the role of security professionals is being redefined. What will humans still do in cybersecurity?
Social engineering in the AI age. AI can now personalize phishing, impersonate trusted voices, and automate social engineering at scale. Are humans still the weakest link?
Prompt injection. People have tricked commercial chatbots into giving unexpected discounts or breaking their own rules. Is prompt injection a model vulnerability, or a failure to enforce trust boundaries between data, instructions, and actions?
When AI agents attack other agents. In multi-agent systems, one compromised agent can influence the decisions and actions of several others. How do we establish trust with AI agents?
Expect the conversation to go wherever the room takes it: we'll open to audience questions early.
🗓️ How it works
6:30pm We gather at the Hub
7pm Panel: red team, blue team, and AI
Then Practical tips + Q&A
Before we wrap A quick word on the Frontier Hub membership
Afterwards Networking
You're also welcome to spend the day working from the Hub before the panel. Bring your laptop, work from the space, and stay for the conversation.
💚 Who should come?
Developers, founders, security folks, people building with AI agents, and anyone who has wondered how exposed their own projects really are. Whether you lean red or blue, or haven't picked a side yet, you don't need to be a security expert. Just come curious, and bring your questions.
🎟️ Free and open to everyone
The panel is free, and you don't need a Frontier Hub membership to join. Just RSVP so we know you're coming.
🏠 Make the Hub part of your routine
Throughout October, the Frontier Hub membership is open with a launch discount. It's for people who want a place to work, events like this one, and other people building at the frontier close by. We'll take a few minutes at the event to share more, and you can find the details at frontierhub.sh.
🌱 Stay close to the Hub
We have a Telegram group for community updates, upcoming events, questions, and people who want to stay closer to what is happening around Frontier Hub.
