About Event

Youth and students are at the forefront of our climate future, yet their voices are often the last to be heard in policy decisions. In San Rafael, a new generation of leaders is rising to meet this challenge with creativity, technical skill, and a clear vision for a sustainable community.

The City of San Rafael is partnering with Sustainable San Rafael and local schools and universities—to showcase innovative climate solutions developed by youth.

Join the City, Councilmember Maika Llorens Gulati, Sustainable San Rafael, and student changemakers to explore a wide range of projects advancing local climate action and resilience.

The event begins with a student work showcase and open house, followed by a formal program featuring presentations from Marin Academy’s climate cohort, the Sustainable San Rafael Student Advisory Committee, UC Berkeley and others. Together, they will highlight real-world solutions and opportunities to influence San Rafael’s climate and sustainability policies.

We invite community members of all ages to attend. This gathering is a call to action for stronger intergenerational collaboration in shaping our local climate future.

Student Showcase and Open House: 5:30–6:15 PM

Presentations and Panels: 6:15–7:30 PM

Location: San Rafael City Hall Council Chambers, 1400 Fifth Avenue, San Rafael, CA 94901
