About Event
Join Mt. Adams Resource Stewards for an afternoon of guided wildlife tracking on the Mt. Adams Community Forest. On a ~2-3 mile flat hike along Mill Pond, Adam Lieberg (Columbia Land Trust) will teach strategies for identifying wildlife signs--tracks, scat, tree markings, feeding signs, nests, and more. The Mill Pond area is known to be visited by critters ranging from western gray squirrels and bobcats to elk, cougars, and bears. It's also an excellent birding site!
Meet at Mill Pond at 11:00 am. We will reconvene after the hike by 3:00 pm for a bonfire with s'mores, snacks, and hot drinks.
Please bring:
- Packed lunch or snacks (we'll provide snacks & drinks around 3pm, but no lunch is provided)
- Warm clothes

Meet at the Mill Pond tract of the Mt. Adams Community Forest, about 3 miles east of Glenwood, WA. Go past the camping area and turn right onto the Private Haul Rd.
