About Event

Join Native Nuclear CEO Scott Lathrop (yak titʸu titʸu yak tiłhini Tribe) for the next installment of the Sovereign Energy Sessions, a live lunch & learn series creating accessible conversations around Tribal energy development and the future of clean energy.

Scott will be joined by Joe Ford, founder and CEO of 1021 Plus, a service-disabled veteran-owned company dedicated to building the next generation of nuclear energy workers, starting in the classroom. 1021 Plus works at the intersection of K-12 education, CTE programming, and nuclear industry partnerships to create pathways that are both exciting for young people and efficient for utilities. Joe's work addresses one of the industry's most urgent challenges: an aging nuclear workforce and a pipeline that hasn't kept pace.

Scott and Joe will explore what it will take to build a Native nuclear workforce from the ground up — from K-12 curriculum and vocational programs to apprenticeships and collegiate routes that connect young people to nuclear energy before they ever step foot on a job site. The conversation centers a powerful idea: the investment we make in Native youth today shapes who leads America's clean energy future tomorrow.

Register today for the July session!
