Founders & Stories – Summer Edition | ScaleupFest Meetup

📍Budapest | venue shared with approved guests

📅June 18, 2026 | Doors open at 17:40, starts at 18:00

One more ScaleupFest Meetup before summer - this time co-hosted with BIG FISH.

Join us for a relaxed evening of founder stories, honest lessons, and good conversations over drinks and light bites.

This time, we’re keeping the format simple: 3 × 10-minute founder stories - short, candid updates on what has happened over the past 12–18 months. Growth, scaling, deals, international expansion, experiments that worked, decisions that didn’t, and the lessons learned along the way.

🎤 Founder Stories

Parkl – Zsolt Somogyi, CEO & Co-founder

Parkl, the mobility service startup building EV charging and parking solutions, closed a round with LeadVentures around two years ago. What has happened since then? How is the company progressing with its international go-to-market strategy, and what have they learned along the way?

BIG FISH Group – Erik Barcsay, CEO & Co-founder

BIG FISH is an ecommerce-focused tech group that has created several spin-offs across payments, delivery, and logistics. Some were sold, some were kept and scaled further, and some simply didn’t work out. Erik will share the lessons behind this uncommon entrepreneurial approach - from building new ventures to deciding whether to grow, exit, or let go.

Pepita Group – Ádám Köteles, CIO

Pepita Group is one of Hungary’s well-known ecommerce players, operating in a highly competitive and fast-changing online retail environment. Ádám will share what scaling looks like from the inside - from operations and growth to marketplace dynamics and lessons learned while building and adapting an ecommerce platform in CEE.

After the stories, we’ll continue with informal networking over soft drinks, beer, snacks, and plenty of founder-to-founder conversations.

The event is intentionally small, with limited capacity. To keep the group focused and the conversations meaningful, registration requests will be reviewed individually. This means registration is not automatic, and unfortunately we may not be able to accommodate everyone.
