Discover the Trust for Governors Island’s Climate Programs, including the Climate Piloting Program, which offers early-stage companies and innovators the opportunity to test and scale climate products and services in a real-world environment.
Several of the Trust's climate piloting projects will be showcasing their products at Liggett Terrace—you'll get to experience their innovations firsthand and meet the people behind them, including:
CarbonCLAIR: Solar-powered air purification of particulate matter (PM2.5) and CO2.
Circular Economy Manufacturing: Solar-powered MicroFactory transforming post-consumer plastics into new products.
PooPoof: Biodegradable dog waste dissolving spray.
Sunphade: Adaptive solar control for buildings.
Tensora Coastal: Near real-time monitoring of flood risk for coastal areas.
ThermoShade: Solar-powered, off-grid cooling shelter that reduces radiant heat exposure and improves outdoor thermal comfort.
True Flood Risk: Real-time, property-level flood intelligence to improve resilience planning, emergency response, and risk management.
