About Event

Editing is one of the most transformative and the most daunting (yes, I said it!) parts of the book journey. Between the different types of editing (developmental, line, copy, proofreading), the flood of comments from an editor, and the emotions that come with feedback, it’s easy to feel stuck or even discouraged.

Join our next session of The Indie Book Lab hosted by Karolina Wudniak for a supportive session with Dr. Bailey Lang, book coach, editor, and writer. At The Writing Desk, Bailey works one-on-one with authors to build sustainable, enjoyable writing practices that take their books from draft to done.

In this session:
✔️ we’ll break down the editing process into clear, approachable stages so you’ll know exactly what to expect and when.
✔️ we’ll talk about how to navigate the “big feelings” that often come with feedback, and how to turn even the most marked-up manuscript into a step-by-step path forward.
✔️ You’ll walk away with practical strategies for tackling editorial suggestions, plus the reassurance that you’re not alone in the process.

This is your chance to reframe editing not as an obstacle, but as a powerful ally in bringing your book to life.

There is no cost to attend, and a replay will be shared with all registered attendees.
