Dublin. Design Systems Vibe Coding Club
This is organised by Projector Community ambassadors (by Projector Institute) and RichardsDee studio.
What will this event be about?
A hands-on workshop on Agentic Design Systems - what they are, why they matter, and how to build one. The audience will learn how AI agents can read, understand, and generate UI from a structured design system (using IBM Carbon as the live example). The focus is practical, not theoretical: by the end, participants will have experienced the full loop from design tokens → documented components → agent-generated UI.
Schedule
A 3-hour structure works well for a mixed audience:
* 0:00–0:30 - What is an agentic design system? (concepts + the two lenses: designing for agents and agents contributing to design systems)
* 0:30–1:00 - Live demo: exploring the Carbon Storybook we built - components, tokens, states
* 1:00–1:15 - Break
* 1:15–1:45 - Hands-on: participants open Storybook locally and explore with Cursor's AI, prompting it to generate new Carbon components
* 1:45–2:15 - Group exercise: audit an existing UI - "can an agent use this reliably?"
* 2:15–2:45 - Discussion: guardrails, trust, human-in-the-loop, where this is heading
* 2:45–3:00 - Q&A and wrap-up
Speaker
Shivam Soni Product Designer Exploring Human-AI Interaction
What will they get at the end?
* A working Carbon Design System Storybook they can run locally and build on
* An understanding of how to make any design system agent-ready (semantic tokens, documented states, consistent naming)
* A practical framework for auditing their own product's UI for agentic readiness
* A starting point for connecting Cursor or Claude Code to their design system
What do they have to have?
* Cursor installed (free plan works fine)
* Node.js 18+ installed
* A laptop (Mac or Windows, both work)
