What Japanese Culture Can Teach Entrepreneurs

​Founders, builders, entrepreneurs, community builders, and creatives are invited to an evening with Brian Thomson, a founder, trainer, and educator whose life and work bridge Japanese martial arts, company-building, security training, and the study of warrior and protector roles in society.

​As a teenager, Brian graduated high school early and moved to Japan, where he lived as an uchi-deshi, a live-in student, training inside ancient dojos rooted in traditional Japanese martial culture. That experience shaped his understanding of discipline, mastery, restraint, readiness, and the daily routines required to become capable.

​This conversation will explore a hard truth: most of us operate poorly as humans. We are distracted, inconsistent, reactive, and undertrained for the lives we say we want to build.
