Ever wondered what friendship looks like around the world in all its different shapes and forms?
Curious Friends is a documentary series following four curious friends on a mission to explore exactly that. The idea came to me after years of traveling and realizing that no matter where you go, it is always the people who leave the biggest impact. While friendship is something universally understood, every culture and community experiences it a little differently.
Through this series, we hope to hear firsthand accounts of connection, community, and companionship- from unforgettable adventures to the quiet moments that stay with us for years.
By sharing these experiences, Curious Friends aims to celebrate friendship in all its beautiful and varied forms.
We are thrilled to announce that we will be filming our first episode in Singapore this December!
As we begin shaping the story we want to tell, we are excited to meet the people who make Singapore feel so special. In partnership with the Singapore Global Network, we will be hosting a dinner centered around conversations on friendship, community, and the relationships that shape our lives with the Singapore community based in NYC.
Through a series of casual, conversation-style prompts, we will talk about childhood friends, long-distance friendships after moving to New York, friendships formed through work, and everything in between. We want to hear about the people who showed up during difficult times, the bonds that have lasted for decades, the unexpected friendships that changed your life, and the reasons your community means so much to you.
Your experiences and perspectives will help guide what we explore while filming in Singapore, while also contributing to a story centered on connection, joy, and human relationships at a time when many people are searching for exactly that. Most importantly, we hope the evening becomes an opportunity to reflect, reconnect, and meet new people along the way.
We would especially love to hear from you if friendship plays a meaningful role in your life & if you have stories tied to Singapore and the people you experienced it with. We welcome people of all ages, industries, and backgrounds who are open to meaningful conversation and building new connections.
