About Hsinchu Science Park
The Hsinchu Science Park was established in 1980, over more than four decades of endeavor, the Park has not only played a crucial role in the development process of Taiwan's economy but has also built up an international reputation in high-tech industry as well as technology innovation, especially in semiconductor industry sectors.
Many foreigners may not have ever heard the name Taiwan, but they are quite familiar with the semiconductor chips manufactured at the Hsinchu Science Park. Global renowned top leading IC makers and design houses like TSMC, UMC, Mediatek, Macronix, etc., their headquarters are all located at the Hsinchu Science Park, contributing a great deal to global chip supply chain as well as regional high-tech industry development in Taiwan.
