Matching will be powered by Matchbox. It’s a software that uses relationship science to find you your most compatible match at the party. The algorithm has matched more than half a million people to date, across 40 countries. It optimizes for long-term compatibility, based on values—but it’s up to you to see if you’ll click.
How it works:
Upon arrival, you’ll take a matching questionnaire built by Matchbox's team of relationship scientists and curated by your host.
The Matchbox algorithm will identify your optimal match at the party, based on relationship science, AI, and Nobel Prize-winning economics.
After mingling with the whole group, matches are revealed!

Venue is a private speakeasy with 100 person capacity, complete sound system, & full bar with N/A options

Event Structure:
This event is highly intentional and the matching will proceed on schedule. Please be on time.
7:00pm—guests arrive and fill out questionnaire
7:30pm—doors close, the lesson begins, and The Algorithm begins computing matches
8:00pm—guests are split into groups containing their matches and learn partnerwork, rotating partners
8:30pm—matches are revealed and learn a new move together
9:00pm—migrate to private speakeasy two blocks away
9:15pm—DJ, cocktails, and open floor for dancing
9:30pm—doors open for afterparty guests
12:00am—event concludes

Q: What age range is the event for? A: This event is for all ages.
Q: What if I don't get a match? A: We aim to maintain a 50/50 lead to follow ratio but cannot guarantee that all attendees will show up, as life happens. If there is an uneven split, some matches will be paired platonically. These people receive a free ticket to a future event of their choice, valid for 60 days after this event.
Q: Do I need dance shoes? A: No! Guests will leave street shoes in the lobby and dance barefoot or in socks.
Q: What should I wear? A: Dress to impress but be prepared to sweat a little.
Q: Do I need to know Spanish? A: Salsa is the only language we will be speaking!
