Oakland is one of the most biodiverse cities of its size anywhere on Earth, but the living systems that make this place so unique have been almost entirely erased by colonization over the past century.

Join us for a virtual 90-minute presentation with a Q&A session on the incomparable habitats and species that have lived here alongside Indigenous people since ancient times. We will learn about the current state of these ecosystems and their inhabitants, and understand what actions we can take to protect and restore this land's incredible capacity to sustain Life. 🌎🍃

Is this a paid ticketed event?
Yes, there are three different tiered tickets all comprises a sliding scale. This event is free to attend for BIPOC identifying people, though voluntary donations for the speaker are gratefully accepted.
