Qiskit Fall Fest 2026: Hackathon & Closing Ceremony
It's time to put what we've learned into action!
After weeks of exploring quantum computing, learning Qiskit, and discovering what's possible with quantum technology, we're bringing Qiskit Fall Fest 2026 to a close with an exciting Hackathon & Closing Ceremony, hosted by AstraCode Community!
This is where ideas meet implementation. Participants will come together in teams, work on the announced hackathon challenge, and present their solutions through live pitches. This is your opportunity to collaborate, experiment, build and showcase what you've learned.
The Hackathon
Participants will work in teams of 5 to develop solutions to the Qiskit Fall Fest hackathon challenge.
Teams will get the opportunity to:
Collaborate and develop ideas around the hackathon prompt
Apply their knowledge of quantum computing and Qiskit
Build and refine their solutions as a team (prior to the presentation day on 13th November)
Pitch their projects to a panel of judges
The event will conclude with project presentations, recognition of outstanding teams, and a celebration of everything we've accomplished throughout Qiskit Fall Fest 2026.

We have limited capacity and want to make sure every registered participant can attend.
Only 50 slots are available. Registration will be limited, so secure your spot early.
Physical attendance is mandatory. This is an in-person event at IBM Research Africa in Nairobi. There will be no virtual attendance option.
Register only if you are certain you will be available to attend physically on Friday, 13 November, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM EAT.
Food and transport will NOT be provided. Participants will need to make their own arrangements.
Please be considerate when registering. Taking a slot means occupying a limited space that another participant could have used.
