​Network School recently welcomed a new member: Bestie! Short for Banting & Best, our Unitree Go2 robot dog is named after the scientist duo that revolutionized medicine with the discovery of insulin.

Frederick Banting and Charles Best conducted experiments that discovered insulin in 1921, with crucial help from Banting's dog. Before this discovery, a diabetes diagnosis was essentially a death sentence. But thanks to two ingenious scientists and one very important dog, insulin has helped save millions of lives worldwide over the past century. Now our robot dog Banting & Best (or Bestie for short) carries on that pioneering spirit as Network School's mascot
