About Event

✨ A Little Something for Your Look — We’re excited to partner with Nuuly, a clothing rental subscription that makes it easy to discover something new and get creative with what you wear. Registered attendees will receive a 1-month free Nuuly offer to find something fun for the occasion.

This perk is completely optional and intended for event attendees. If you know you won’t be able to make it, please don’t use or share the offer.

Join Kindred Curiosity for Dress for the Occasion (Even If We Made It Up) — an afternoon of getting dressed, celebrating just because, and connecting with other women of the Asian diaspora!

Who says you need a reason to dress up? We’re creating an occasion simply because we can, and inviting you to finally wear the outfit that’s been waiting in your closet. Think the prom dress you never got to wear again, your graduation gown, a Halloween costume, a favorite pair of pajamas, or simply something you love and haven’t had an excuse to put on. The idea is simply to wear something you’ve been saving for an occasion, something you want to wear again, or something you normally wouldn’t have a reason to wear!

We’ll spend the afternoon sharing the stories behind what we chose to wear, enjoying drinks and bites, and making space for meaningful conversations and new connections. We’ll be gathering at the ROGER Bar and Restaurant at The Ameswell Hotel, where attendees can purchase cocktails, mocktails, and food throughout the event.

What to Expect

👗 The Outfit You’ve Been Saving — Come dressed in something you’ve been waiting for an excuse to wear. Prom dress, graduation gown, costume, pajamas, or anything in between — interpret the theme however you’d like!

💬 Intro Circle + Outfit Stories — We’ll kick things off by sharing what we’re wearing and the story behind it. What occasion were you saving it for? Why did you choose it? Or maybe you just really love it!

🍸 Drinks + Bites — Enjoy cocktails, mocktails, and food available for purchase while you mingle and connect with the community.

📸 Mini Photo Booth — Capture the occasion with a low-key photo moment to commemorate your look (and give you an excuse to actually document it!).

🤝 Meaningful Connection — Meet fellow women of the Asian diaspora through relaxed conversation, shared stories, and a little bit of intentional fun.

Come for the outfit you’ve been saving. Stay for the conversations, connections, and celebration. ✨

Event Registration Policies: This event is free to register, with attendees covering their own food and beverages.
